Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the service department. This role includes managing service advisors and technicians, monitoring repair quality, and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely. The Service Manager will coordinate customer appointments, address service concerns, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include monitoring departmental performance, managing budgets, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and dealership policies. The role involves regular collaboration with sales, parts, and finance teams to support overall dealership performance. Qualifications Strong automotive service management skills, including supervising service staff, overseeing repair processes, and managing service workflows. Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally. Operational and organizational skills, including scheduling, time management, and maintaining accurate service records and documentation. Basic financial and business acumen, such as understanding service department KPIs, budgets, and revenue targets. Experience working in an automotive dealership or service center; prior management or leadership experience is highly beneficial. Proficiency with dealership management systems and standard office software; ability to learn new tools and processes quickly. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive certifications (ASE or manufacturer-specific) are a plus.
