Job Description Unloads and breaks down freight (e.g., trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc.) Sorts and organizes freight Operates various types of material handling equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, order selectors) Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (e.g., bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.) Pick, scan, sort, and label. Identify unusable pallets Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided) Select and scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy. Maintains work area in a clean and hazard-free condition Pay Range $18.00 – $18.00 per hour. Shifts First Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm Second Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Possible overtime and weekend work Job Requirements 2 years warehouse experience required Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift, order selector) Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards Excellent customer service required Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak volumes Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers) Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day Effective communication skills Safety shoes are required Other duties as assigned Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for employees and their families Retirement Plans: A 401k with employer matching Voluntary benefits: Life, accident, and disability products available for employee and dependents Bonus Eligibility Internal Employee Referral Program up to $500.
