Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Lansing, Michigan.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 14 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 14 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I trauma experience and an active MI RN license.Details\n \n Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department\n 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:30\n Assignment length of 14 weeks\n Weekend requirement of 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule, with possible scheduling of 1, 2, or all 3 days\n No on-call responsibilities\n Floating required, including to Pediatrics\n Patient ratios currently running high at 1:5-6, with potential to reach 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays\n Uses Epic EMR\n Requirements\n \n Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)\n Minimum 2 years of ER experience required\n Level I trauma center experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience preferred for strong candidates\n Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIHSS\n ENPC certification preferred\n Epic charting experience required\n Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required\n Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration preferred\n Triage experience preferred\n Certifications may not be pending beyond contract start date\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care across a combined adult/pediatric patient population in a Level I Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI certified facility\n Manage high-acuity cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury\n Perform triage and utilize isolation precautions/PPE as needed\n Complete pre-start training modules prior to assignment start, which vary by specialty\n Epic training provided during orientation for those without prior experience\n First-time travelers may be considered for this position\n Former core staff must wait 12 months before returning to the facility\n RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with a 5-day maximum RTO policy per assignment\n No RTO permitted on 10/31 or between 12/18-12/28\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756482.
