IT Client Service Specialist

Opportunity IT Client Service Specialist is a customer-service focused role. The successful candidate will help to directly support the Dallas office while providing remote support for staff in all other locations. Collaboration with team members in the IT Support, Systems, Applications and Network groups will provide opportunities to participate in technology project design and implementation firm‑wide. Primary Responsibilities Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. Assist with troubleshooting issues and providing technical support. Organize and maintain IT resources. Basic problem‑solving using remote management systems. Communicate effectively with audiences of varying technical levels. Create, capture, and maintain accurate technical documentation. Display professional, team‑oriented, reliable, and responsible behavior. Enforce all IT policies and system procedures. Initiate and innovate to improve processes and address systemic technical issues. Perform regular office tasks and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Work consistently on a computer daily. Occasional travel may be required to support regional offices. Be reachable by mobile phone during and outside business hours for emergencies. Respond quickly to emergency support situations, including weekend or off‑hour work. Required Qualifications BS in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent education and experience. Minimum 2 years of IT Support experience (AEC firm a plus). Industry‑standard hardware/software certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft, Apple, A+). Understanding of Microsoft server/workstation operating systems. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem‑solving skills and remote management experience. Effective verbal and written communication with varied technical audiences. Strong technical documentation skills. Team‑oriented, reliable, responsible. Commitment to enforce IT policies and procedures. Detail‑oriented, innovative, proactive. Drive to identify and resolve systemic technical issues. Desired Technical Skills Experience supporting Windows and Apple computing environments. Workstation and laptop re‑imaging experience (Acronis, Ghost, SCCM, etc.). Knowledge of Windows Server 2012/R2 and Windows 10. Virtual technology familiarity (VMware, Citrix). Mobile device support (smartphones, tablets, laptops). Telephony systems (analog, digital, VoIP). Messaging platforms (Exchange/Outlook, Office 365). Business applications (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite). Scripting and basic web development a plus. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Normal office environment with moderate noise. Occasional lifting up to 25‑50 lbs, regular walking, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching. Perform daily work on a computer. Travel not typically required but may be necessary to support regional sites. Accessible by mobile phone during normal and outside business hours for emergency support; mobile stipend provided. Ready to respond to emergency support situations; weekend or off‑hour work may be required.
