Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient infusion center setting, administering IV medications, blood products, hydration therapy, and specialty biologic medications
• Perform peripheral IV insertions and manage central venous access devices including ports, fistulas, catheters, and PICC lines
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology infusion treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
• Monitor patients throughout infusion treatments, assess for adverse reactions, and intervene as appropriate
• Provide patient education including teaching for self-administration of medications
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum 2 years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion nursing
• Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
• Peripheral IV insertion experience and port/fistula/catheter experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Completed de-escalation training from an approved provider (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) prior to start
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• IV Certification highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous travel nursing experience
