Restaurant Manager

Sela V Hotel is opening a new restaurant in Brooklyn, led by a top chef bringing together the flavors of the Middle East, the Balkans, and North Africa. We're looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all front-of-house operations and build the team from opening day.

The role: Own daily floor operations — staffing, scheduling, payroll coordination, and inventory. Hire, train, and manage the front-of-house team, with ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Ensure every part of the dining room meets standard: lighting, temperature, cleanliness, table settings, and mise en place — reporting maintenance issues immediately. Handle vendor coordination and service standards. Work closely with the Executive Chef to keep front and back of house aligned. Lead the floor personally during service, especially through opening. Build and shape the front-of-house team from day one, with a real opportunity to influence how systems and standards are set for the long term.

Required: 3-5+ years of restaurant management experience, ideally in an upscale or fine-dining environment. Proven ability to run full service independently and lead a team under pressure. High standards of personal cleanliness, presentation, and order. Strong organizational, financial, and communication skills. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual. Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred: NYC Food Protection Certificate. Experience opening a new restaurant. Restaurant management certification or related degree. Stable work history with previous employers.
