Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a night shift role at a Level I facility requiring prior critical care and children's hospital experience.

• Respiratory Care department serving pediatric patients of all ages
• Level I experience required
• Previous work in a children's-only hospital preferred
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week with 26-week contracts and guaranteed 48 hours per week

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Full date of birth and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff and document in computerized medical records
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Act as a resource to medical staff on respiratory care procedures and equipment
• Maintain and ensure cleanliness of respiratory equipment
• Serve as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations served by the department
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
• 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or ending of assignment
• Previous travelers may extend once up to a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
