As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:
DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, data, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support badge control and entry procedures for employees, contractors, and guests.
- Support day-to-day operations at a technology-focused location by communicating with site contacts, reporting maintenance or life system concerns, and following post orders and Allied Universal protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
