Orthopedics Physician

A reputable, well-established healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens call coverage at a Level III trauma facility.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: July 2026
• Duration: Ongoing need
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
• Call Type: Beeper call only
• Response Time: 20 minutes
• Patient Volume: Low (typically 1 2 patients seen per call shift)
• Cases: Bread-and-butter orthopedics (fractures, sports injuries, general ortho)
• No spine required

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Emergency Department call coverage
• Modern, efficient OR with block scheduling
• Fully digital radiology department
• Supported by orthopedic PAs and experienced surgical staff
• Complex cases are transferred out

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS required)
• Active state license or IMLC eligibility
• Active DEA and CDS (state-specific)
• Must be comfortable with general orthopedic procedures, including total joints

Credentialing:

• Estimated 30-day timeframe
• Temporary privileges available
