Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced 24-bed ED with 3 trauma bays
• Manage patients with conditions ranging from trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Triage patients effectively, utilizing your clinical judgment and experience
• Administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, and interpret ECGs independently
• Assist with procedures and stabilize critically ill patients until admission or transfer

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact state) - we can help with expedited licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENTC certifications required
• Must be comfortable with self-scheduling and floating to other units as needed
• No prior full-time, part-time, or PRN affiliation with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity Health within the past 12 months

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition and ECG interpretation
• Experience with Paragon EMR is a plus
• Strong ability to prioritize in a high-acuity, high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Competent in ventilator management, high-flow oxygen, and critical care equipment
