Radiologic Technologist

Role Overview: A Radiologic Technologist responsible for operating digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to produce high-quality images in accordance with physician specifications and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform routine radiographs and fluoroscopy procedures for patients of all ages. Ensure proper patient identification, image quality, and adherence to radiation safety standards. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and patient experience. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and manage supplies effectively. Communicate with patients to obtain medical history, explain procedures, and provide support. Perform quality control and report equipment issues promptly. Document patient care activities and ensure timely transfer of images to PACS systems. Provide patient education, address concerns, and support physical and psychological needs. Adhere to departmental policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines. Collaborate professionally with team members and follow leadership directions. Qualifications Associate's degree or accredited Radiologic Technology certificate. ARRT registration required upon hire in Maryland, and within 90 days in Washington, DC. State licensure in Maryland or Virginia required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Skills & Abilities Effective verbal and written communication skills.
