Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology Focus)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Overtime (48-hour weeks) may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a heavy neurology census, including post-surgical neurology patients and various neurological diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditionadminister the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and apply findings to patient care planning
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units as needed within the facility or to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry (Tele) RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Willingness to work on a heavy neurology unit and learn neurology-specific patient care practices
• Must commit to all RTO and scheduling requests at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be honored
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals considered at an adjusted rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neurology RN experience, including familiarity with the NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology patient populations
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly high-acuity acute care environment
• Comfort floating between units and adapting quickly to varying patient populations
