Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Credentialed Trainer (Principal Trainer) to support clinical application training initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with application teams, clinical staff, and operational stakeholders to develop and deliver effective training programs, optimize workflows, and provide end-user support across multiple healthcare locations.

The role involves approximately 50% on-site work, with increased on-site presence expected during pilot training, end-user training, and go-live support.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver role-based Epic training programs, including one-on-one sessions, classroom training, and departmental in-services.

• Collaborate with clinical teams, application analysts, and operational stakeholders to improve workflows and training materials.

• Provide technical guidance and support to users with varying levels of professional and technical knowledge.

• Troubleshoot system and workflow issues, distinguishing application build problems from training-related challenges.

• Identify, document, and escalate system issues to the appropriate application or build analysts.

• Support system testing, implementation, quality assurance, and ongoing application maintenance.

• Develop training scenarios, documentation, and operationally focused learning materials.

• Track user issues, follow up on resolutions, and ensure effective training outcomes.

• Support training activities and go-live readiness across multiple healthcare facilities.

Requirements

• 3 5 years of relevant experience in clinical applications, Epic training, or healthcare IT.

• Epic Cupid certification.

• Strong knowledge of clinical application workflows, implementation, testing, and end-user support.

• Experience troubleshooting application functionality and training-related issues.

• Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

• Willingness to travel between work locations and work on-site as project needs require.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Experience developing training materials, delivering classroom sessions, and providing one-on-one user coaching.

• Knowledge of clinical workflows, electronic health records (EHR), system testing, and application support.

• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff, managers, clinicians, and technical teams.

• Experience supporting challenging or resistant end users and documenting issues for resolution.

• Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
