Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Profession: Occupational Therapist

Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure
Certifications: BLS Certification required
Must-Have: Outpatient experience, experience with adults including neuro conditions and post-surgical care


Description:
Plans and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and adapt to possible disability following disease, injury, or loss of body parts.
Maintains confidentiality.
Provides diagnostic and therapy services under valid ordering provider orders with appropriate professional judgment for skilled care.
Participates in the identification and referral of patients through screening, informal evaluations, and communication.
Re-evaluates skilled needs, modifies treatment plans, and prepares discharge summaries as warranted.
Prepares and maintains written and electronic documentation as required for the profession and department in a timely manner, including evaluation reports, treatment plans, and daily progress notes.
Experience in outpatient therapy is necessary, with an emphasis on adult patients, including those with neuro conditions and post-surgical needs.
Must possess strong computer literacy skills.
Housing may be challenging, particularly for those with pets.
Skills in inpatient therapy are also required.
