Job Summary
Medical Technologist (MT) – Taylorsville FSED. The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist to join the emergency room laboratory team. The position involves performing point of care testing, specimen processing, and maintaining laboratory equipment within a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Job Details
- Certifications: MLS or MLT certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- Education: Full license required; associate's degree is not sufficient
- Location Requirements: N/A
- Years of Experience: At least 2 years working in a hospital laboratory environment as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT)
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts spanning from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Responsibilities include daily maintenance, quality control, calibration of analyzers, specimen processing, routine cleaning, and interfacing professionally with clinical staff.
- Experience with electronic medical records, particularly EPIC, and familiarity with laboratory analyzers listed above, preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
