We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for an industrial cleaning company in Long Island City, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume, multi-state payroll processing with accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to compliance. The role will play an important part in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining reliable payroll records and resolving payroll-related issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate pay distribution.
• Administer payroll activities across multiple states while following applicable wage, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, validate, and finalize payroll information.
• Audit payroll data such as hours worked, deductions, adjustments, and employee updates to minimize errors before submission.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payment issues in a prompt and thorough manner.
• Maintain organized payroll records and support reporting needs for internal stakeholders and compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with HR and other business partners to ensure employee changes are reflected correctly in payroll processing.• Proven experience handling full-cycle payroll from data review through final payroll submission.
• Background processing payroll for employees working in multiple states.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Ability to manage payroll for a large employee population exceeding 500 workers.
• Strong understanding of payroll practices, deductions, tax considerations, and record accuracy.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under payroll deadlines.
