Electrical Engineer (PCB Design, Component Engineering)

Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Position Overview

Our client, a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing organization, is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and production of complex electronic systems and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This position offers the opportunity to work on high-reliability products used in demanding aerospace and defense environments while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits and subsystems.
• Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.
• Develop prototypes and perform hardware integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and validation testing.
• Support PCB fabrication, assembly, and product transition into manufacturing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to ensure successful product development and production.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) reviews to improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Support environmental, functional, qualification, and reliability testing of electronic assemblies.
• Analyze test data, investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in engineering change management, continuous improvement initiatives, and product lifecycle support activities.
• Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support PCB sourcing, fabrication, and assembly requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-7 years of hands-on electrical design and product development experience.
• Strong experience designing and supporting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware and perform laboratory testing using standard test equipment.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, manufacturing documentation, and configuration control processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, space, medical device, or other high-reliability products.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB fabrication processes, and electronic assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and environmental qualification testing.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to embedded systems, power electronics, motor controls, or control systems.
• Experience supporting products from concept through production release.
• Familiarity with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), risk management, and quality systems.

Security Clearance & Work Authorization Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher is a plus.
• Experience working within ITAR-regulated environments is highly desirable.

• Base salary ranging from $95,000 - $130,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and industry background.
