Merchandising Specialist

Salary and Compensation Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance premiums that may be paid in amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Role Overview The Merchandising Specialist will keep the front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on the sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed. Check in, price, and display stock. Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis. Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, and ensure “sale” signs are in place. Remove all sale material when a sale ends and restore original pricing. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns. Work with the manager to complete store weekly inventory and merchandising tasks. Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities Strong organizational skills. Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources. Basic computer skills. Must be able to work well with others in a team environment. Desired: Previous stocking experience. Desired: Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
