Position: Insurance Authorization Specialist


Location: Texarkana, TX


Hours: M-F, 8a-5p (some saturdays once perm)


Pay: $14-15/hr, DOE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Authorization Specialist to join our growing team. This position operates in a fast-paced call center environment where accuracy, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with insurance carriers, obtaining prior authorizations, verifying benefits, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office, insurance verification, prior authorization, patient access, or healthcare call center required
• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
• Excellent data entry and computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional healthcare or insurance certifications are a plus.
