Nurse Practitioner | Urgent Care Location: Wilmington, NC Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Specialty: NP/PA - Urgent Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: North Carolina Fayetteville, Lumberton, Salisbury Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Malpractice insurance provided by vendor; travel and lodging not covered; limited mileage reimbursement (60 miles roundtrip) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics (6 months and up) Average Daily Volume: 40 patients/day Case Mix: Urgent care, adults and pediatrics; minor procedures (I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, etc.) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Supervising physician available offsite Support Staff: MAs: 1, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified required Licenses: Active NC license DEA: Active NC DEA required Certifications: BLS; DOT, PALS/ACLS preferred. Experience: Minimum 12 months of experience; new graduates not considered. Other Qualifications: Must be local to the area Proficiency with Epic EMR Experience treating adults and pediatrics Ability to work as sole provider in high-volume setting; strong interpersonal skills. Duties & Responsibilities Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages (6 months and up) as the sole provider. Perform minor procedures including incision and drainage, laceration repair, and ear irrigation. Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and charting. Maintain a positive, patient-centered attitude in line with FastMed's culture of high-quality community care. Collaborate with on-site support staff and offsite supervising physician as needed.
