Construction Inspector

Overview Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Construction (CQA) Inspector to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth. You’ll contribute to real projects from day one and continue developing your technical skills, field experience, and understanding of project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications Operate field equipment such as nuclear density gauges and other testing tools Document daily field activities, test results, and observations through clear and accurate reporting Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to support inspection activities Communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and project teams to maintain project quality and progress Maintain and calibrate field equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results Travel locally to job sites using company‑provided vehicles Our Bridgeport office has grown to over 130 professionals since opening in 2012 and is part of a larger West Virginia operation that includes offices in Charleston and Martinsburg.
