The pay range for this position is $17.14-$28.34 based on direct and relevant experience.RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) Float to join our team. As a Medical Assistant (MA) Float, you will be responsible for supporting the physician assistant and/or technologist with the daily functions of the Clinic and provide general administrative support to the department. Medical Assistants with Rayus also have the responsibility to prep patients for Diagnostic/Therapeutic injections without Pain Care Providers, providing support to the DTI Technologist to ensure a smooth day. This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm (8-hour shifts) at our Blaine, Edina, and Plymouth centers; traveling to other locations throughout the metro as needed (Burnsville, Shakopee, Woodbury).Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPatient Care (50%):Greet patients and escorts them to the exam roomTake and record patient vitals and temperatureAssist provider or physician assistant (PA) in the room as neededEnter patient's past medical information, locate previous medical records, relay messages to patients from providers and vice versaEnter in medication refill requestsCommunicate directly with supervisor regarding patient medications and possible contra-indicationsStart patient IVs (as needed)Assist with oral sedationPrep patients for their injections with the injection departmentAdministrative Support (45%):Monitor the clinic's patient schedule, assist with managing add-on appointments and follow up appointmentsFacilitate the patient flow, with direction from supervisorDischarge the patients from the clinic with appropriate information and documentationCall or fax patient prescriptions to the pharmacyPlace follow-up phone calls to patients prescribed pain management medications or narcotics to check if additional treatment and/or a follow-up appointment is requiredDocument all patient prep calls in RISLogic or aRies systemsAssemble next day's H&P paperwork assigned location on a daily basisManage all incoming phone calls from patients regarding past procedures or treatments, with guidance from the SupervisorCoordinate the patient flow, with scheduling and front office, to fit in schedule add-onsMaintain office supplies within department and stockroomAssist with cleaning exam roomsProvide daily updates to the Supervisor regarding individual work schedule and completion of the day's tasks, etc.Performs Other Duties As Assigned (5%):High school diploma, or equivalentGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant education programCertified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)One (1) year experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is requiredValid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)Preferred:One (1) year of Medical Assistant work experienceHealthcare experience in radiologic procedures and medicationsBilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
