What you'll do We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category strategy, supplier relationship management, and sourcing execution across one or more strategic spend categories (Technology and/or Outside Services). In this senior-level individual contributor role, you will drive category development, lead complex multi-stakeholder initiatives, manage relationships with executive stakeholders and strategic suppliers, and deliver measurable value through cost optimization, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. You will combine deep procurement expertise with strategic business acumen to influence organizational decisions and shape sourcing strategy at the enterprise level.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.ResponsibilityDevelop comprehensive category management strategies and roadmaps for assigned spend categories, including market research, competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify value creation opportunitiesLead large-scale, complex sourcing initiatives (RFP, RFI, RFQ) using modern procurement orchestration tools (ZipHQ, Levelpath, or equivalent) to drive systematic, repeatable, auditable processes that scale across the organizationNegotiate strategically with key suppliers and vendors on contract terms, pricing, SLAs, and risk allocation; employ AI strategically to accelerate contract analysis and risk identification while maintaining independent judgment and business acumenEstablish and manage strategic supplier partnerships; conduct quarterly business reviews with C-level involvement, manage supplier performance scorecards, and escalate issues with business impactDevelop analytical insights, business cases, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership; prepare presentations with scenario analysis, ROI modeling, and risk mitigation strategiesCreate comprehensive spend and performance dashboards; leverage AI to process large datasets and identify trends, while maintaining critical evaluation of output and supplementing with domain expertiseLead and mentor cross-functional sourcing teams; facilitate stakeholder alignment across business units, Finance, Legal, Information Security, and executive sponsorsApply systems-level thinking to category management: design and optimize end-to-end source-to-pay processes, identify operational inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance scalability and complianceMaintain expert understanding of the full PO lifecycle (requisitioning, receiving, invoicing, accruals, QA) and financial controls to ensure operational integrityCollaborate with Finance and Business Partners during planning cycles to provide spend forecasts, budget updates, and savings tracking Job Designation Hybrid:Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. What you bring Basic12+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Category Management, or related strategic function, with significant exposure to Technology and/or Outside Services/Professional Services categoriesExperience leading complex, enterprise-scale sourcing initiatives and delivering measurable year-over-year savings and operational improvementsExperience in strategic supplier relationship management, including QBRs with executive stakeholders and C-level engagementExperience in Excel, data analysis, and spend analytics; experience with Tableau or Power BIExperience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to enhance analytical work and accelerate research-with mature judgment in evaluating AI-generated insights and recognizing when human expertise is neededExperience designing, mapping, and optimizing complex workflows; identifying systemic inefficiencies; and driving operational improvements across source-to-pay processesPreferredBA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or relevant equivalent work experienceMBA or advanced degree (Supply Chain, Finance, Business)Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent procurement certificationHands-on experience with modern procurement intake and orchestration platforms (ZipHQ, Levelpath, Jaggr, Coupa, Oro)Mastery of enterprise P2P and sourcing systems (Oracle, Workday Scout, Coupa, SAP Ariba)Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams; track record of developing high-performing procurement talentDemonstrated ability to reconcile and synthesize data from multiple sources; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesResults-oriented mindset with proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and achieve goals under pressureExceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and build alignment across business units and executive leadership Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00 base salaryIllinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $140,100.00 - $197,925.00 base salaryWashington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $140,100.00 - $206,775.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
