Registered Nurse (RN) – Corrections Medical (2nd/3rd Shift) | Dayton, OH (On-Site)

Payrate: $50-$55 an hr

Location: Dayton, OH 45417
Job Type: Temporary (26-week contract)
Schedule: Must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift 36-40 hours per week - Rotating weekends - Hours will be assigned at start - also, maybe asked to stay over to cover the next shift until they have full coverage at the facility. - NO TRAVEL NURSES!

Job Summary

We’re hiring  Registered Nurses (RN)to provide  medical-side nursing care in a secure corrections environment at an  all-female facility in Dayton, OH. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to stay flexible as shift needs may change.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical setting
• Perform assessments, medication administration, treatments, and documentation
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure safe, timely care delivery
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, security rules, and required documentation
• Be available to assist with coverage as needed (may be asked to stay over to cover next shift until relief arrives)

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (unrestricted)
• BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and rotating weekends
• Strong reliability, communication, and documentation skills
• Must be able to pass required screening/credentialing and follow strict security policies

Security / Facility Rules (Important)

• No cell phones permitted
• Must clear a  metal detector
• No personal items allowed inside
• Food/drinks must be in  clear containers (max 1 gallon of water)
• No tobacco/vapes/cans permitted

Pre-Employment / Compliance (if selected)

• TB test and drug screening (per facility process)
• Additional onboarding/security steps will be required promptly after offer acceptance
