Schedule

Shift: Night 4x12.0 hours/week, with every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at our facility, you will embrace our core values by delivering superior quality care while ensuring the safety of both patients and employees. You will be responsible for performing comprehensive nursing assessments and developing individualized care plans, while promoting patient education and safety in every aspect of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, informing individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care based on the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education starting on the day of admission.
• Ensure effective communication regarding patient status changes among care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and maintain a calm and supportive environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance nursing skills and competencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
