Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a Level One Trauma Center Operating Room, supporting a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a variety of surgical specialties including GU/GYN, General, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular
• Demonstrate competency with robotic-assisted surgery ( Da Vinci Xi ) and procedures including PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies
• Operate and assist with surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot platforms; document care using Epic EMR
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 26-bed OR environment, upholding high standards of patient safety and surgical efficiency
• Participate in call rotation, including one overnight trauma call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and specialty team call as applicable (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Level One Trauma Center experience required
• Demonstrated competency in GU/GYN surgical procedures and robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci Xi)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with an expected 36 hours per week, including a 1:4 weekend rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 3 years of Level One Trauma Center OR experience preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including Neurosurgery, Ortho Trauma, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, and Endovascular
• Flexible, accountable, punctual, and team-oriented professional approach
