Seeking a locum tenens cardiology physician for an inpatient heart failure assignment in Salt Lake City, UT . Job Details

Position: Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiology
Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: November 1, 2026
End Date: January 24, 2027
Assignment Length: 12 weeks
Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,870 - $6,950
EMR: EPIC
Coverage Need: Maternity leave coverage
License Requirement: Utah medical license and Utah DEA required

Job Requirements

Board certification or strong clinical experience in cardiology and heart failure care
At least 1 year of relevant inpatient cardiology experience required
Current Utah medical license
Current Utah DEA registration
Heart Failure Certification required
Experience with inpatient rounding, heart failure management, and continuity of care
Comfort working in EPIC electronic medical record system

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient cardiology coverage with a focus on heart failure management
Conduct daily inpatient rounding and clinical follow-up
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support high-quality patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
Support continuity of care during maternity leave coverage
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
