About the Role:

New Artisens Childcare in Philadelphia, PA is looking for a passionate and creative School Age Teacher to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in a nurturing, dynamic environment where imagination and learning go hand in hand.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for school-age children
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Supervise and guide children during academic support, play, and enrichment activities
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
• Monitor and document children's developmental progress and behavior
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with childcare regulations
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and daily activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate programming
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass required background checks per Pennsylvania childcare regulations
• Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children
