Researcher III - Energy Security

Supporting various analysis efforts, the full-time Researcher III - Energy Security will conduct data assessments, develop customized demonstrations for stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Conduct data assessments and analyses, including writing SQL queries to extract and clean large datasets Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in energy distribution systems and develop clear project documentation Utilize geospatial tools to analyze and visually display relevant information while tracking project deliverables Required qualifications Relevant PhD, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience Training and experience in geographic information sciences and data analysis, including proficiency in SQL and Python Experience assessing risks and vulnerabilities within infrastructure and disaster planning Broad knowledge of best practices in energy security and resilience Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
