Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)

Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) to join a critical access hospital setting. This role requires a strong background in Labor & Delivery, Med Surg, and Pediatrics , as nurses will split time between OB and Med Surg units based on census.
Key Responsibilities
Provide care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care
Float to Med Surg/Pediatrics unit as needed (approx. 50/50 split)
Manage OB patients including labor, preterm labor, postpartum recovery, and triage
Administer and monitor medications including Pitocin and critical care drips
Assist with C-sections and deliveries in OR settings
Monitor fetal status using EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
Interpret telemetry when required
Respond to on-call needs within required response time

L&D Beds: 4 | Postpartum Beds: 6
Triage Beds: 1
Patient Ratios:
L&D: 1:1 (active labor)
Postpartum: 1:2
Charting System: Epic
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Floating: Required (Med Surg/Peds)
Schedule & Requirements
Night shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
On-Call: Required (1-hour response time)
Holiday Requirement: Every 3rd holiday
Floating: Required based on census
