Job Title: Registered Nurse – Stepdown (Cardiac/Telemetry)
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Pay Rate:
Local: $1,600 - $1,800/week
Travel: $1,900 - $2,100/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Stepdown (Cardiac/Telemetry) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for stepdown patients.

• Monitor and manage patients with acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, cardiomyopathy, and chest pain diagnoses.

• Provide care for long-term ventilator-dependent patients.

• Administer infusion therapies, blood transfusions, injections, and central line care.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.

• Utilize Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and A-PAP equipment as needed.

• Perform accurate clinical documentation and maintain compliance with nursing standards.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

• Support stroke care initiatives as part of the dedicated stroke unit team.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.

• BLS Certification (American Heart Association).

• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association).

• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required as part of unit competency.

• Experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care settings preferred.

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and non-invasive ventilation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Experience caring for cardiac, pulmonary, renal, endocrine, and stroke patients.

• Experience in high-acuity stepdown or telemetry units.

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
