Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: Labor, induction, scheduled C sections, unscheduled c sections, C Section with salpingectomy, SROM, PPROM, hypertension, preeclampsia, antenatal pts for various reasons, triage pts, CADD epidural pumps, birthing and peanut balls, Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitoring wired and wireless, Periwatch (adding vigilance in June), Steadys, Hillrom labor beds, Draeger Radiant warmers, Vein lightv scan

Unit Information: We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios as best we can. This usually means 1 : 1 for active labor. 1: 2 if not in active labor. Can mean 1 : 3 triage or antepartum pts. If it gets super busy, each nurse may have to take an additional patient as needed.
