$25,000 SIGN-ON BONUS\n
\nExternal applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $25,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.\n
\n
\nOhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full-time registered Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This is a large and busy Radiation Oncology department located in two locations within the hospital and requires a therapist to be on call for add on or urgent cases. Call is rotated on a weekly basis among the 11 therapists. The department consists of three Linear Accelerators and two CTs. They also provide High Dose Rate Brachytherapy in the department. \n

\nDelivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters.\n

Responsibilities And Duties:

35%\n
\nAdministers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis.\n
\n20%\n
\nMaintains daily record of treatment, inclusive of daily dosages and calculations and other necessary treatment records.\n
\n5%\n
\nPerforms simulations, acquires treatment parameters, patient contours and dose calculations.\n
\n10%\n
\nTherapists who are scheduled to work 80 hours per pay, may be required to be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.\n

\nMaintains patient schedules for In-Patients and Out-Patients communicates frequently with families and hospital personnel to maintain schedule coordination and accommodate patients as best as possible.\n

\nMonitors patient Condition and progress on a daily basis. i.e., patient weighs, skin care, reaction, etc. .\n
\n5%\n
\nAssists Radiation Oncologist in performance of Brachytherapy procedures. Oversees and directs clinical activities of Radiation Therapy Technology students. Provides clinical insight to Radiologic Technology students, nursing students, etc. as needed.\n

\nParticipates in Department Clinical QA activities, new patient conference, tumor board and QRM.\n
\n

\nAs a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.  \n

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree: Radiologic Technology (Required)ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, DL - Driver's License - Department of Motor Vehicles, LIC - Licensed in Field - State of Ohio\n

Additional Job Description:

Registered with the ARRT and licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, graduate of approved Radiation Therapy Technology Training Program. BLS Certification.

Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring for a part-time casual (as needed/PRN) registered Radiation Therapist. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p, large and busy Radiology Oncology department located within two areas of the hospital. Therapists are busy and learn a lot of skills as they work with both inpatients and outpatients.
