Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tele Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week contract. This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, with the potential requirement to float to other medical/surgical units as necessary. The selected candidate will primarily care for boarded patients within the Emergency Department and may also assist in other medical-surgical areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a telemetry environment, monitoring vital signs and EKG readings.
• Float to other medical-surgical units based on staffing needs.
• Participate in nursing protocols and assist in emergency situations as required.
• Maintain a professional, compassionate approach to patient care at all times.

Schedule Details

• Shift: 12 hours, nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for candidates with 4 or more years of experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Passing EKG test required prior to submission.
• Experience with electronic health records systems, specifically Epic, is preferred.
• EKG monitoring experience is mandatory.
