Job Title: Special Investigator Department of Cannabis Control, Los Angeles County, Hybrid telework, Permanent Full Time. Salary: $5,528.00 – $9,037.00 per month (classification ranges). Job Summary The Department of Cannabis Control seeks a dynamic, highly motivated individual to conduct inspections, investigations, and enforce administrative and civil actions related to commercial cannabis activity across Southern California, coordinating with other agencies to ensure compliance with state laws. Responsibilities Conduct field compliance investigations at licensed cannabis sites, ensuring adherence to public safety and environmental standards. Collaborate closely with local, state, and other partners on cannabis compliance matters. Contribute to the development and implementation of progressive policies that balance industry growth with public health, safety, and community welfare. Perform field inspections and investigations across diverse communities within the assigned geographical area. Working Conditions Candidates must reside in California or prove residency prior to appointment. The role involves frequent travel within the assigned region and requires compliance with medical surveillance and respiratory protection protocols.
