This position is for a Summer Internship in 2026, located at our Corporate office in Ridgeland, MS.**Responsibilities:****What You Will Do** In all of your duties, you will have a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage all details to perfection and deliver desired results.• Provide support to the Accounting and Finance departments through assigned projects and daily tasks. • Perform and complete assignments given by your Manager with accuracy and timeliness. • Assist with accounting functions such as reconciliations, reporting, and data entry. • Participate in financial analysis and review of departmental processes. • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats across departments. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions around financial performance and processes. • Collaborate with other interns in the summer internship program on cross-functional projects. • Perform additional duties as assigned.This position is an exceptional introduction to Accounting and Finance within the technology industry, offering a perfect springboard into future opportunities with C Spire.**Qualifications:****What You Will Bring** As a C Spire team member you will bring a relentless obsession to be the best in our industry and a winning mentality, determined to outsmart and outdo competitors. To support our Accounting team you will have an unapologetic passion for innovation and technology and an uncompromising drive toward continuous improvement.In addition to that, we require: • Must be pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance. • Rising college junior, senior, or graduate student actively enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university. • Minimum coursework for Accounting majors: Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, Business Computer Systems, Accounting Systems I, Intermediate Accounting I. • Minimum coursework for Finance majors: Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, Management Information Systems, Financial Systems, Intermediate Financial Management, Financial Markets. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must have housing in Jackson, MS, or Birmingham, AL.We will give special consideration to candidates who have: • Prior internship or work experience in Accounting or Finance. • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.**What You Will Gain** A great workplace needs more than dental coverage, though we provide that and excellent health insurance.
