Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

The Inbound Forklift Operator and Material Handler safely receives, transports, and stores medical products in a fast-paced, climate-controlled distribution center. This role requires skilled operation of reach trucks, order pickers, and other forklifts, strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards for medical supplies, and accurate use of RF scanning and warehouse management systems to maintain inventory integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, order pickers, dock stockers, and sit-down forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count products accurately.
• Receive inbound shipments and verify product quantities and condition against accompanying documentation.
• Unload and load trucks safely and efficiently for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Perform inventory put-away by placing products in designated warehouse locations following proper slotting procedures.
• Move products throughout the warehouse as needed to support shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to support inventory accuracy and control.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, order pickers, dock stockers, and sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated ability to safely load and unload trucks and move materials throughout a warehouse.
• Experience receiving inbound orders and performing accurate inventory put-away.
• Hands-on experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), including SAP or similar platforms.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Work Environment

The setting is fast-paced and safety-sensitive, handling regulated medical products under strict standards. For safety and security reasons, cell phones are not allowed on the floor; lockers are provided for personal belongings, and headphones are not permitted in the work area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southaven, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
