Schedule

• 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

• On-Call Hours: 4:30 PM – 8:30 AM

• Enjoy every other week off while providing exceptional hospice care during after-hours.

Position Summary

The Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse is responsible for providing after-hours nursing care, triaging patient and family concerns, responding to urgent clinical needs, and delivering compassionate end-of-life care throughout the Wyoming Valley service area.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours patient and family calls.

• Perform on-call visits for symptom management and urgent patient needs.

• Complete nursing assessments and provide appropriate interventions.

• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.

• Educate patients and caregivers regarding hospice services and symptom management.

• Complete timely and accurate electronic documentation.

• Participate in rotating on-call coverage according to the assigned schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.

• Hospice, home health, oncology, ICU, emergency department, or medical-surgical experience preferred.

• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Strong communication and compassionate patient care abilities.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
