About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: Temp to Perm Opportunity Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 3x12 (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years required License: Local if applicable Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping Types of cases preferred include Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN Description: The Sterile Processing Tech will work in a fast-paced environment. This position involves sterilization and maintaining the integrity of surgical instruments. The role requires knowledge of appropriate sterilization techniques and practices. The technician will ensure compliance with safety and health standards. Floating to different facilities may be required to meet operational needs. The position includes a holiday rotation and the expectation to cover shifts as needed. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks. The technician will be responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of specific medical instruments and equipment. Knowledge of aseptic techniques, biological indicators, and cleaning equipment is crucial. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in sets/trays assembly and use of washers/sterilizers. Experience with immediate-use steam sterilization and high-level disinfection is preferred. The role entails collaboration with clinical teams to ensure the safe handling of surgical instruments. This position is suitable for individuals who thrive in team-oriented environments and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Compliance with all facility protocols and guidelines is expected to maintain optimal patient care standards.
