Pre-Screening Question: This is a trauma center with 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using hall beds if needed; never staff more than 1:4 ratio for regular ED patients; hold assignments could include a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. This ED averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day. Please confirm, is your candidate comfortable moving forward? IN LICENSE MUST BE IN HAND TO SUBMIT First Time Travelers Accepted Shift Requirements: 3x12s or 4x12s MUST BE WILLING TO WORK CHARGE Locals: No, IN residents not accepted Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; Preferred NIH, TNCC -Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby as needed Minimum Experience Required: 3 Years Skillset Requirements: Must have AT LEAST level 2 trauma experience. General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions Unit Information: 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using hall beds if needed; never staff more than 1:4 ratio for regular ED patients; hold assignments could include a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. This ED averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day. Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
