Our team provides valuable oversight for Export Controls Rules and Regulations, Sanctions regulations and Customs governance.Partner with the bestIn this role, you will lead the development of certain aspects of the Baker Hughes Trade Compliance Program. You will provide legal advice to our business on Export Controls, Sanction regulations and Customs rules. You lead trade compliance investigations and manage submissions and disclosures to the U.S. government.As a Senior Legal Counsel for International Trade, you will be responsible for:Providing legal advice to our business on US Custom and Export Controls Rules and Regulations, Sanction regulationsLeading trade compliance investigations and managing submissions and disclosures to the U.S. government as requiredWork with a team dedicated to the management of our compliance program through a focus on continual enhancementManaging ITC Compliance policies and procedures and key elements of the Trade Program with our Compliance programMonitoring and communicating new international trade laws, rules and regulations that impact our business through internal communicationsManaging ITC Compliance training content and annual roll-out to support our program initiativesFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school or international equivalenHave minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Compliance & Regulatory CounselsHave admission to practice law and be in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (or equivalent in other jurisdictions).Demonstrate solid experience with US & EU licensing and registration regimes, including dual use, military, and nuclear.Have experience in international trade law, including export compliance and sanctions.Show Strong negotiation and presentation skills and an excellent analytical abilityHave excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory concerns to non-legal stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projectsWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
