Benefits Advisor

We are seeking a highly organized & self-motivated professional, is a proactive self starter who anticipates the needs of clients and team members, takes ownership of projects, and is comfortable working in an independent office setting. The successful candidate is resourceful, follows through on commitments, and is always looking for ways to improve efficiency and provide outstanding service. An individual with a valid Florida insurance license or comparable experience in Human Resources is preferred. Company Description Administrators Advisory Group (AAG) has been supporting HR departments and management teams for over 30 years with up-to-date legal guidance, compliance support, and a variety of professional trainings. AAG also offers personalized benefit claims services, enrollment support, and comprehensive reviews such as compliance audits, handbook evaluations, and document retention assessments. AAG leverages strong industry relationships to deliver current best practices and tailored advice for a wide range of HR and benefits needs. Role Description The Benefits Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in DeLand, FL (Monday-Friday). This is not a remote/virtual position. This role is responsible for assisting in the benefit renewal process, including but not limited to: preparing enrollment materials, answering questions about benefits/coverage, capturing benefit elections, as well as processing employee elections. Day-to-day activities include supporting AAG upper management with their tasks, researching claims or billing discrepancies for accounts as well as answering coverage questions, and coordinating closely with clientele HR teams to address compliance and documentation needs. The Benefits Advisor will assist in maintaining accurate records of brokerage interactions and follow-up actions internally. The role also involves building and maintaining strong client relationships through responsive customer service and clear communication. Qualifications Candidate should be a self starter with a proactive approach as well as a strong sense of ownership in their work. They must possess the ability to problem solve and follow through without constant direction. Must be highly organized with the capacity to prioritize multiple deadlines and adapt for changing priorities. Candidates should possess skills in Employee Benefits and Insurance, with the ability to explain plan options, coverage, and compliance clearly. Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to support clients and employees timely with benefit inquiries, claims issues, and ongoing account needs. Additional beneficial qualifications include strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with standard office and insurance related software. Experience working with or in Human Resources, an employee benefits brokerage, or insurance environment is preferred. A current/valid Florida insurance license. Relevant associate or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field is beneficial, as are professional benefits or insurance certifications (but not required).
