Dishwashers Wanted
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishware, utensils, pots, and pans are impeccably cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards. This position is vital to the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting chefs and kitchen staff by providing them with the necessary tools to perform their duties efficiently. The successful applicant must demonstrate reliability, stamina, and a strong work ethic, as the role demands physical endurance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher or by hand.
- Ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station and surrounding areas.
- Assist kitchen staff by promptly supplying clean utensils and equipment as needed.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables properly and manage cleanliness of waste disposal areas.
- Monitor dishwashing machines for proper functioning and report any malfunctions to maintenance.
- Assist with unpacking and storing deliveries as directed by kitchen management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar dishwashing or kitchen support role is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchenware when necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Good communication skills and a cooperative team-oriented attitude.
