Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Under the direction of the licensed nurse, performs basic medication administration, nursing care and personal care activities to patients according to their scope of practice, identified by the North Carolina Nurse Aide I or II Registry and the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry; unless the skill or task is not allowed for practice by a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mission Hospitals.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Required License: Must have and maintain current listing with Division of Facility Services as NAI or II and must be listed on the NC Medication Aide Registry. Must have and maintain current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Required Experience: One year experience in Adult Care setting as PCT/Medication Aide or CNA.

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, a member of Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare, is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located on Highway 64 between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has 24 beds for acute care services and 80 beds in the Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care practices serving both Highlands and Cashiers.
