General Manager – ENI Labs, a division of Applied Technical Services (ATS)

Location: Fort Wayne, IN (onsite leadership role)

Compensation: Competitive base + annual bonus

Applied Technical Services (ATS) is hiring a General Manager to lead ENI Labs, its materials testing, inspection, and calibration operation in Fort Wayne. ATS was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Marietta, GA.

ATS provides testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services to clients in manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, medical, and defense. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Marietta, GA, the company has over 2,000 employees across more than 95 U.S. locations.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role where you'll own the full P&L and lead a team of about 25 technical professionals, reporting to the Regional Calibration Director, Midwest. You'll build a high-performing team, improve operational and financial results, and grow the customer base, with ATS's regional and corporate resources behind you.

What you'll do

Own the full P&L for the location, including annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
Lead, coach, and develop the technical team through goal-setting, training, career development, and succession planning
Build a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Partner with ATS's corporate sales and business development team to grow existing accounts and win new ones
Assess staffing, capacity, and space needs and plan for growth
Work with Quality to maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, and resolve customer issues with corrective actions that stick
Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Safety, and Legal in a matrixed environment
Serve as the local face of ATS with customers and in the industry

What you bring

8+ years in calibration, including 3+ years in management
3+ years of P&L responsibility (multi-site experience a plus)
Hands-on ability to perform electrical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and mechanical calibrations
Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
A track record of building and unifying high-performing teams in a growth-oriented business
Strong customer relationship skills and a results-driven mindset
An Associate's in Industrial Technology, a Bachelor's in Engineering, or a related degree is preferred but not required
Up to 25% travel and a valid driver's license
This position requires access to ITAR-controlled information. Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens/nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) will be considered.
Valid driver's license; some local travel to customer sites
