Tenure-Track Faculty- Dept of Neuroscience (Computational or Theoretical Neuroscience)

The Department of Neuroscience at Yale University seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members with interests in computational or theoretical neuroscience. We recognize that artificial intelligence and machine learning are changing all aspects of neuroscience from analysis of neural activity to network modeling to imaging to bioinformatics to molecular modeling. We are enthusiastic about candidates using computational methods to link models with experimental data and are convinced that merging these disciplines is key to the progress of neuroscience. The successful candidates will be embedded in a richly collaborative community supporting intellectual creativity. The Department of Neuroscience at Yale realizes that the full potential of our research lies in the power that varied perspectives bring to the field. Emphasis will be placed on recruiting at the level of Assistant Professor, but appointments at Associate Professor level may be considered. The computational neuroscience community at Yale is dynamic and expanding, and includes the Department of Neuroscience, the Wu Tsai Institute, the Kavli Institute for Neuroscience, and the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science. The Department of Neuroscience resides in a space optimized for modern science and maximal interaction and collaboration. New faculty will be supported by a generous start-up package and ongoing salary support. Faculty are expected to develop a productive and innovative research program that will include the opportunity to participate in graduate and medical education. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
