Details Level III Trauma facility Operating Room setting Circulating nurse role supporting General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry cases Day shift schedule, 6:30a-7p, working Wednesday/Thursday/Friday Option to work 48 hrs/week available Call required, split among OR RNs for 24/7 unit coverage, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period Weekday call runs 3p-7a; weekend call is 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) Holiday coverage required No floating required EMR systems used: Medhost and PICIS Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required Experience required in General, Orthopedic, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatric surgery No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the contract Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers Additional Information Serve as circulating nurse responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties Perform patient assessment and advocacy, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, specimen handling, and medication administration Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and nursing colleagues to ensure seamless surgical care delivery Hospital-laundered scrubs provided and available onsite RTO requests must be less than 1 week Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius; no local travelers accepted Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-747089.
