Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle various tenders, and follow company policies. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages/overages and control loss. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs). Report pricing discrepancies. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Stay current with ads and promotions. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures. Identify unsafe conditions and notify management. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed. Create a welcoming environment for customers. Follow all laws and company guidelines. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed. Support customers with special needs, minors, and older adults. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
