Phlebotomist II

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our clients medical facility based in San Antonio TX 78240

This is a 4 month contract role with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: San Antonio TX 78240

Schedule : Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00 pm (40hrs/week)

Pay Range: $20.12- 23.40/hr

(Offered pay rate will be based on education experience and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
• Label process and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA OSHA and HIPAA standards.

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric geriatric and capillary draws.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.
