Geotechnical Engineer (PE)

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to lead and support geotechnical investigations and provide practical engineering recommendations for a variety of construction and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will evaluate soil, rock, and groundwater conditions, perform engineering analyses, and prepare detailed technical reports to support safe and cost-effective design and construction activities.

This role requires close collaboration with project managers, clients, design engineers, and field/laboratory teams throughout all phases of a project, from initial site investigation through construction support.

Key Responsibilities

Geotechnical Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports, technical memoranda, and recommendations
• Perform geotechnical analyses including:
• Bearing capacity
• Settlement analysis
• Lateral earth pressures
• Slope stability

Subsurface Investigations

• Plan and oversee subsurface investigations including drilling, sampling, and field testing activities

Engineering Recommendations

• Provide engineering recommendations for:
• Residential, commercial, and industrial developments
• Retaining walls and earth retention systems
• Roads, bridges, and utility infrastructure
• Energy and critical facility projects

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with clients, project managers, design teams, and field personnel to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule
• Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase support, including responding to field conditions and RFIs

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Licensure

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting infrastructure and land development projects
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigation procedures and construction support services
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
